The Calorie Dance

When you take in more calories than you use, you gain weight.

When you use more calories than you take in, you loose weight. 

Consider the calories in an ice cream sundae:

Vanilla Ice Cream   ½ cup = 130 calories  

Chocolate Syrup      2 Tablespoons = 100 calories

Nuts                           2 Tablespoons = 80 – 100 calories

Total  =  310 - 330 calories



Sweating with the Oldies for 1 hour will burn 310 –330 calories.

Other activities that burn about 300 calories

  •    Walking 4 miles in hour
  •    Gardening for 1 hour and 15 minutes
  •    Stair walking for 30 minutes
  •    Dancing fast for 1 hour
  •    Doing water aerobics for one hour
  •    Running 3 miles in 30minutes
  •    Bicycling 8 miles in 30 minutes
  •    Swimming laps for 40 minutes  
  •    Hiking 2 miles in 1 hour
